Historian Discusses Black Womanhood and Patriarchy

Renowned black historian Dr. Ula Taylor from the University of California-Berkeley will visit NAAM to discuss her newly published book, The Promise of Patriarchy: Women and the Nation of Islam as part of NAAM’s new History as a Starting Point Lecture Series. Dr. Taylor is a leading historian who also co-authored Panther: The Illustrated History of the Black Panther Movement and the Story Behind the Film. Books will be available for purchase and her talk will be followed by a book signing.
