Artists' Talk: Role of the Human Form in Art

  • Gallery Onyx 600 Pine Street Seattle, WA, 98101 United States (map)

What does the use of the human form in art tell us about an artist; about society? Is there a difference in how the form is used depending on gender presentation? What is the impact of a nude or partially nude form? How is that impacted by history? For example, is the image of a nude Black woman perceived differently than women of other racial identities? What about a nude Black man? Why?

This will be an open discussion facilitated by Lola E. Peters.
